Sweet Puff Pastry With Whipped Cream And JamCourse: Bon Flavours
A French dessert made of puff pastry, whipped cream and jam is ideal when you have little time to prepare a cake.
puff pastry packaging,
400 ml sweet sour cream
4 tablespoons powdered sugar + for sprinkling,
about 300 g of any jam,
optional: small fruits, e.g. blueberries.
Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Place a sheet of puff pastry on the baking tray. Prick it with a fork and bake in the oven until it gets a golden-brown color.
After baking, cool the puff pastry, and then cut it into 8 identical rectangles. It is better to use a knife with teeth so that the folds do not fall apart.
Whisk the cold sweet sour cream firmly with the powdered sugar.
Four rectangles of puff pastry, spread with jam, and then coat with sweet sour cream.
If you want to use fruit, add sweet sour cream after application.
Cover the cake with the remaining rectangles. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
If you want, you can put chopped fresh fruit instead of jam
