Snail Pie with CherriesCourse: Pies
This delicious fruit pie looks amazing and is very easy to make. It is most delicious with fresh cherries, but you can also use other fruits for preparation.
700 g cherries
400 g flour
200 ml of yogurt
200 g of cold butter
100 g icing sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
- Mix the flour with the butter. Add yogurt and baking powder. Knead the dough. Form a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Then take it out and develop a crust about 3 mm thick. Cut into strips 7-8 cm wide.
- Arrange the cherries in the middle of the strip of dough and arrange them next to each other. Sprinkle them with powdered sugar. Arrange the rolls in a baking dish with an average diameter of 22 cm. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
- Add the rolls and twist in the shape of a snail’s nest until you fill the whole bowl. Place in a preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove, cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
