Grandma’s Strudel with Poppy Seeds

Ingredients
- For the dough:
3 eggs
½l milk
1 tablespoon fat or butter
20g of fresh yeast
1kg of flour
- For fil:
200g ground poppy
½l milk
5 tablespoons sugar
Directions

Whisk the egg whites with the sugar, then add the egg yolks that have been previously beaten with butter (butter). -
Stir the yeast in warm milk, then combine with the eggs. Gradually add flour to get a smooth soft dough that must not stick to your hands. Coat the dough with a little oil and let it rise. -
During that time, cook the poppy seeds in milk and sweeten to taste. -
When the dough rises make 4 balls and spread one by one to the thickness of a finger. Fill with cold poppy seed filling and wrap in loaves. -
Leave it in the pan for another half an hour, then bake at a moderate temperature for about 40 minutes. When it is done, sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
